Fire Pit Cinema is back from 10 to 19 July 2026, part of the annual Christmas in July Festival. It remains Australia’s first outdoor fire pit cinema experience — an intimate, crackling-fireside alternative to the usual rug-on-the-grass movie night.

Guests gather around their own fire pit, wrapped in blankets, toasting marshmallows over the flames and sipping warm wine. Popcorn appears without a queue. The historic Cadmans Cottage, built in 1816, stands just behind them, its sandstone facade catching the flicker of dozens of small fires.
