Jack Johnson returns to Sydney with Ben Harper and John Butler

Jack Johnson will share a stage with Ben Harper and John Butler for the first time when his SURFILMUSIC tour arrives at The Domain on Saturday 14 November 2026. Indigenous artist Emily Wurramara joins the bill for the Sydney show only.

The 4:00pm concert marks Johnson’s first Australian tour since 2022 and celebrates the release of his SURFILMUSIC documentary soundtrack, due 15 May 2026. The acoustic-focused lineup features solo sets from Harper and Butler rather than their usual full-band performances.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday 12 May at 2:00pm, with presales starting Thursday 7 May for registered fans and Friday 8 May for Mastercard holders. The Domain’s flat grass surface means early arrival is essential for views near the stage.

Music critics have described the lineup as three artists who helped shape the early 2000s roots boom. One Blunt Magazine reviewer noted Johnson’s “On & On” achieved six times platinum status in Australia, calling this “not a niche throwback tour” but “three artists with deep Australian roots, stacked onto one bill at the exact moment people start chasing summer again.”

The tour celebrates Johnson’s SURFILMUSIC documentary, directed by Emmett Malloy, which uses rare footage from Johnson’s early surf films alongside personal archives. The film features appearances by Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, and other surfers from his original productions.

Johnson’s All At Once Village Green will feature at the show with local non-profit partners offering hands-on ways to support plastic-free initiatives. His record label and touring crew have led environmental stewardship efforts across the music industry for over a decade.

The Domain is an open-air venue with minimal shelter, requiring preparation for changing weather conditions as umbrellas are typically prohibited during performances.
